HEADING TO NEW INVESTMENTS TOGETHER WITH PROJECT CENTER

Project center of Palilula Municipality was successfully formed few years ago. The activity on creating good business ambience for businesses of SMEEs in Palilula, supported by LEDIB programme, has been well realized. This was the estimation of PhD Igor Novakovic, president of the Municipality of Palilula and project coordinators Boban Mikic and Milan Nikolic.

`The idea for opening Project center was actually born in the moment when we had one problem with our businessmen about the certain matters since we had not had professionally trained human resources in this area before. That is why we wanted to educate our Municipal officers to make strategic plans, projects and other documentation, i.e. that for the needs of our businessmen we could apply for the funds which resources were dedicated to the sector of small and medium enterprises – explained at the press conference in Media Center president Novakovic and emphasized that 12 trained Municipal officers have already taken part in the elaboration of Action plan of this Municipality that has 44 projects. Novakovic also emphasized the significance of the project in dialogue improvement of public and private sector in supporting business ideas of SMEE sector.

The services that will be given to SMEE sector by Palilula project center follow some new trends in businesses and will help the economical entities to improve their businesses. `With foundation of Project center we allowed the support to businessmen in the creating and elaboration of project documentation, so that they could easily come to the funds resources. Very few enterprises have got so far the resources they should not be returned, and I hope that that kind of situation will change since new business cooperation funds are opened – explained Milan Nikolic, coordinator of the Project`.

The Programme of local economic development on the Balkans-LEDIB of the Kingdom of Denmark has for its aim the support to local economic development with the focus on the development of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurships (SMEEs). Within the second call for developmental municipal projects, LEDIB programme in 2011 supported 2 projects of Palilula-said Boban Mikic, member of Municipal Council. One of the projects promoted today, taking into account the reached results, is Forming of Palilula Municipality Project centre`. This support is of big importance for our Municipality that is in the very end of the list according to citizens standard and development in Serbia.
